Özet: In this study, rate of germination and emergence and seedling characters (shoot and root length, fresh and dry weight) of three triticale cultivars and ten triticale lines were tested under various salt (NaCl) concentrations. Salt tolerance index was calculated from total dry weight. The results showed that root and shoot length, fresh weight and dry weight decreased as NaCl concentration increased. Significant differences among the genotypes were obvious with all NaCl concentration, concerning the salt tolerance index of genotypes. Karma-2000 and Mikham 2002 appeared to be more tolerant to salt stress than the others. TRT 121 and TRT 142 were seemed to promising lines for salt tolerance.
