Özet: The main purpose of this study is to examine the effect of Covid-19 fear on burnout syndrome. This cross-sectional study, conducted between 15-25 February 2021, was completed with the participation of 244 hospital staff. In addition to descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation and simple regression analysis were used in the analysis of the data. As a result of the study, it was determined that approximately 28% of hospital employees have a potential risk of burnout, and approximately 5% need professional help due to burnout. It has been determined that hospital staff have a moderate fear of Covid-19. It was determined that there was no statistically significant difference between the participants' gender, marital status, education level, professional title, and whether they were diagnosed with Covid-19 positive or not, and the scales of Covid-19 fear and Burnout Syndrome. It has been demonstrated that the only significant difference is between the age level of the participants and their average burnout level and that the young people suffer from burnout syndrome more. A moderate relationship (r: .473) was found between the participants' mean Covid-19 fear level and their burnout averages. Besides, it has been calculated that the fear of Covid-19 has an effect of 22.4% on the burnout syndrome levels of the participants.
