Özet: The aim of this study; Describing the attitudes of physical education teachers towards the sportive activities of individuals with intellectual disabilities according to different variables. In the research, general screening model was used. A total of 210 physical education teachers (167 male and 43 female) participated in the study. Data were collected by applying the “Personal Information Form” developed by the researcher to the research group in electronic environment and “Attitude Scale of Individuals Having Mental Disabilities towards Sports Activities” (ASIHMDSA) developed by İlhan et al. (2016). SPSS 22.0 statistical program was used for data analysis. After the descriptive analysis, Kolmogorov-Smirnov normality test was used to determine the distribution of the groups. Mann Whitney-U and Correlations Spearman’s rho tests were used as non-parametric tests because the groups did not show normal distribution. As a result of the data analysis, there was no difference between the groups in the attitudes of the physical education teachers towards the sportive activities of the mentally handicapped individuals according to the variables such as gender, age, institution, working year, whether or not to take courses / seminars about special individuals, whether they have special education needs in the family / close relatives (p> 0.05). As a result of the fact that there is no difference between physical education teachers in terms of attitude towards the sportive activities of mentally disabled individuals, increasing awareness activities for disabled people in education-teaching environments, media and social life in social life in recent years.
