Özet: The invasion of Nagorno-Karabakh by Armenia complicates all aspects of the inter-state relations in the South Caucasus. Encouraged by the lack of reaction by the international community, Armenia continues its illegal invasion of Azerbaijani territories in the region isolating itself from the thriving regional cooperation and sustaining regional instability and tensions. International efforts led by the Minsk Group remain ineffective in addressing the current situation, while the United Nation has passed several resolutions calling for an end of the invasion by Armenia. The complicated situation in the South Caucasus has largely remained outside of the global focus until the recent period. The analyses of the conflict need to take into consideration a variety of factors related to the security and the general outlook of the region. The Regional Security Complex theory provide a useful theoretical framework for making sense of the regional security dynamics in the South Caucasus. This article aims to analyze the security dynamics in the region which are closely related to the issue of Nagorno-Karabakh.
