Özet: In this study, it is aimed to investigate the relationship between students' perceptions of school climate, their attachment to school and their academic success in different types of secondary education institutions. For this purpose, the relational survey method, one of the quantitative research methods, was used in the research. The study group of the research consists of 394 high school students, 254 male and 140 female students studying in various secondary education institutions in Esenyurt district of Istanbul province with easy accessible sampling method. The "Personal Information Form", which consists of 3 separate parts, "School Climate Scale" and "School Attachment Scale for Children and Adolescents” were applied to students. The quantitative data obtained were analyzed in SPSS program in computer environment. In the research, correlation analysis and simple and multiple regression analysis were performed in order to determine the relationships between high school students' perceptions of school climate, their commitment to school and their academic success. According to the results of the research, a positive correlation was found between students' perceptions of school climate, their level of commitment to school and their academic success. In the study, it was concluded that school climate predicted school success and academic success, and school attachment predicted academic success at a low level. However, when school climate and school attachment are analyzed in the model, it is seen that the effect of school attachment variable on students' academic achievement is not significant. In this case, the school climate can be a variable including students' commitment to school and academic success.
