Özet: External skelatal fixators have been used in veterinary medicine for many years.  Fractures or joints stabilized using percutaneus fixation pins that penetrate the bone internally and connected externally. External fixators are useful for open and communited fractures that require prolonged fixation. It is especially useful in veterinary medicine because of the ease of application and wide spectrum indications.
