Özet: Aim of this study is to examine exam anxiety levels of secondary school students in terms of socio-demographic variables. In this study, 6th, 7th and 8th grade secondary school students from Girne, Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus were preferred as the target population of the study. 48,1 % (n=77) girl students and 51,9 % (n=83) boy students-totally 160 students- defined by random sampling were included in this study. As a data collection tool, “The test Anxiety Inventory” which was adapted to Turkish Language by Oner (1990) was applied to. Arithmetic average, t-test and single sided variant analysis (ANOVA), and Kruskal-Wallis were calculated in parallel with the aims of the study for the analysis of the data. At the end of the study it was observed that anxiety level points of girl students were considerably higher than boy students in the study made on gender difference, and point averages based on education levels of the parents, sibling quantity, academic success, computer usage aims, whether reading books except from course books and book reading periods except from course books were not considerable different.
