Özet: The aim of this study is to examine relations between attitudes towards teaching profession and hopelessness levels of Dokuz Eylül University,Buca Education Faculty, Primary Education Mathematics Teaching Department, fourth grade students in respect to teaching occupation as well as the factors related to those assessment. Research was implemented on 178 students. “Beck Hopelessness Scale” and “Scale for Attitude Towards Teaching Occupation Scale” shall be used in this study and the research method is relational research. T-test, One-Way Analysis of Variance ,Cronbach Alpha Coefficient, Pearson Correlation Coefficient, Sperman Correlation Coefficient,Man-Whitney U Test , Kruskal Wallis Test frequency and medium data are used in order to analyze research findings. According to research results, it is found out that there is a negative, meaningful relation between attitudes towards teaching profession and hopelessness levels. Attitude towards teaching profession and hopelessness levels do not indicate any difference in terms of income level, district of residence, parent education levels variants; whereas there is a meaningful relation between attitudes towards teaching profession and hopelessness levels and choice of occupation and there is a meaningful relation between only hoplessnes levels towards sex.
