Özet: This research, which aims to develop a scale of factors affecting the preference of private teaching institutions, is a research in general and relational screening model based on quantitative data. The philosophy of the research is realism, paradigm is the functional paradigm. The study population of the study was determined as the parents of the students who sent their children to private education institutions in Konya and Antalya provinces. The sample size was reached to 200+ students with easy sampling. Based on MCKinsey's 7-S model, 70 proposals were written in six dimensions as a result of face-to-face interviews with teachers of private education institutions, administrators of private education institutions and parents of private education institutions. As a result of the exploratory factor analysis, the structure and scope validity of the scale was ensured with 33 items. As a result of confirmatory factor analysis, it was concluded that the exploratory structure was validated and the fit fits were high. It was found that the alpha test and the propositions were consistent with each other. In general, it is concluded that ”Factors Affecting the Choice of Private Education Institutions” is a valid and reliable measurement tool.
