Özet: In this study, it is aimed to determine opinions of intellectual disability class teachers regarding use of materials. Qualitative research method is used in this research. Participants who are determined according to purposive sampling method are formed a total of 20 teachers of intellectual disability. Semi-structured interview technique is used to collect data and a 10 item interview form is used. In analysis of research data descriptive analysis approach is used. The use of materials and equipment in lessons promotes education in terms of visualization, make subjects more concrete, provide opportunity to learn by doing and experiencing, attracts the attention of the students, increases the interest and the students’ achievement, makes learning easy and enjoyable such kinds of opinions are the among the research findings. From obtained data, it is understood that the teachers need various materials in lessons but they only have a certain amount of materials and also they have problems to supply materials they need.
