Özet: In this study, we attempt was to determine the effectiveness of woman’s education in their participation in making domestic decisions through the chronological development of Turkish families from past to present. We dwelt on the factors determining the status of women, the division of labour, the roles they play and how far the level of their education was influential in decision-making with in the family. In this article we preffered to use, quantitative research methods to achievemore contrete outcomes. As a result of extended research involving 600 cases, it was found that the more the level of education of womens rises the more their contributions to household income and their status with in the family, and society will boost. It was also concluded that a rise in the womens education result in greater decision-making. It is concluded that arise in the level of womens education results in greater decision-making input on the part of all the partners in the family. The analysis demostrated that while the decision which have a high degree of importance in financial matters fort he family,such as buying and selling real estates, high purchases, holidays and saving are generally taken by men alone, the rate of shared decision-making regarding finances has decreased.
