Özet: This paper aims to emphasize the fact that psychoanalytic, behaviorist, existentialist and humanistic psychological counseling theories bore structurally distinguishing qualities in the beginning but later, interacting, acquired common characteristics as regards certain concepts and methods and exchanged certain concepts and methods. This situation, which can be regarded as a reverberation of the eclectic point of view can be accepted as an example to the need for sciences to be in cooperation with each other. In this article, along with the distinguishing characteristics of these theories, overlapping qualities are also pointed out. Effort has been made to point out that the ideas of Albert Ellis and Beck which highlight the integrity of conscience and feelings have common points with existentialist and humanistic psychological counseling theories. Furthermore, the interaction of Dollard and Miller, yet other behaviorist theorists, with the psychoanalytic theory is discussed in the paper.
