Özet: The present study aims to evaluate the current Atatürk Teacher Academy  Pre-School Education Program (ATAPEP). Mixed research method was used in this study. The sample comprised 25 pre-service teachers studying in the fourth year in ATAPEP and who are about to graduate in the 2010-2011 academic year. The research data were collected by means of a questionnaire developed by the researchers. The questionnaire comprised questions on general objectives and course dimensions. In addition, an open-ended question regarding the development of the ATAPEP was included. The quantitative data were analyzed by means of weighted average. As for the analysis of qualitative data "content analysis" was adopted. As a result, pre-service teachers find themselves inadequate in terms of "using foreign languages", "developing educational tools appropriate for the pre-school child" and "scientific thinking" skills. In terms of the affective domain, pre-service teachers stated that they could not require the objective "sensitivity to national and universal values and different cultures" adequately. As for the psychomotor domain, they believe that they have not acquired the objective "playing a musical instrument used in musical pre-school activities" adequately. The least beneficial courses were listed as "Research Techniques in Education", "Graduation Project", "Family Education", "Music I-II" and "Cypriot Turkish Culture". The pre-service teachers suggested focusing on more practice, addition of new courses, providing prerequisites for some courses and taking some courses before the teaching practice. They suggested that instructors should be experts and have experience in the field.
