Özet: The aim of this study is to investigate of the effect of concept cartoons to student success in Social Science teaching. For investigation of positive side of teaching activities with concept cartoons, concept cartoons was made and used in fourth grade class unit "People and Management" from Social Science lesson. Implementation of study was made in one school's fourth grade class on second term of 2012-2013 education year in İstanbul-Bağcılar. In this study, half experiment pattern with pre-last test control group is used. In this study, the unit of "People and Management" was studied with concept cartoons in experiment group while in control group was studied program based teaching. The result of success points was collected by 25 test questions, that examined in pre-last tests, about the "People and Management" unit. The findings were analyzed by SPSS program. While the comparison of average points between two groups, independent samples t-test was used. The result of study is there is a significant difference between two groups. The experiment group is more successful than control group. This difference is meaningful. (p<0.05)
