Özet: The aim of the present study is to examine the validity and reliability of the Maximization Scale (Nenkov et al., 2008). Participants were 300 university students. The results of confirmatory factor analysis demonstrated that the six items loaded on one factor (x²= 18.30, df= 8, RMSEA= .066, CFI= .95, IFI= .96, AGFI= .95, GFI= .98, SRMR= .045).  Factor loadings ranged from .33 to .58 and the corrected item-total correlations ranged from 24 to .45. Cronbach alpha internal consistency reliability coefficient was .60. According to these results it can be argued for that this scale is a valid and reliable instrument.
