Özet: This study is concerned with the effectiveness levels of primary school principals according to teacher perceptions. The aim of this research is to determine the effectiveness levels of elementary school principals in the fields of social relations, concepts and techniques. The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness levels of elementary school principals for the development of bilingual education. The research was conducted with 240 teachers working in 20 official primary schools in the TRNC. Participants were identified by appropriate sampling method. Data collection tool developed by Richard L. Andrews and translated into Turkish by Aksu (1994) is the questionnaire of "The Effectiveness of School Principals". Reliability and validity studies of the questionnaire were made by ġahin (2013). Reliability studies in this study were tested for internal consistency reliability and substance-test correlations. The values found in the survey and its sub-dimensions are high. Validity studies of the questionnaire were conducted by the researcher who developed the questionnaire. According to the results of calculation, data-model adaptation in DFA model is found to be high level and significance. Nonparametric hypothesis tests were used to analyze the data. Hypotheses were tested with 'Kruskall-Wallis H test' and 'Mann Whitney U test'. The findings of the study show that formal elementary school principals are at a high level of influence according to teacher perceptions at the descriptive level. Teacher perceptions do not depend on seniority, sex and sub-dimensions (social relations, concepts, techniques). There was no significant difference between teacher perceptions.
