Özet: The aim of the study is to investigate whether there are significant differences between the variables of gender, age, grade level, type of high school, mother education level, father education level and the region of residence. The data collection tool of the study consisted of 170 high school students who were educated in the high schools in Güzelyurt and Lefke regions of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Ministry of Education in 2018-2019 academic year. In the data analysis of the study, “t” test, One-Way ANOVA and TUKEY test method were used. When the most important findings obtained in the study are examined; The highest average was found to be “positive self” dimension. There was no significant difference between socio-demographic variables, negative automatic thoughts in variables of gender, region of residence, and parents' educational status. However, there were statistically significant differences in the level incompatibility ”and“ regret ”dimensions of the grade-level variable and negative automatic thoughts scale, and in the otomatic incompatibility and“ regret ”sub-dimensions of the negative automatic thoughts scale in the high school type variable.
