Özet: The aim of this study is to examine the opinions of primary and secondary teachers in the first level of primary education on cooperative learning. In this research, semi-structured interview form was used as a data collection tool and the opinions obtained were interpreted as content analysis technique. The study group consists of a total of 20 primary school and branch teachers who work in the first level of primary education in Nicosia, TRNC. As a result of the research, teachers think that the cooperative learning methods have an important role in ensuring the active participation of students in the process, in gaining behavior and in developing positive attitudes towards the course. However, they stated that the method can be used most in science classes. On the other hand, when using cooperative learning techniques, the fact that students do not contribute equally to each task and that there are intra-group conflicts is one of the problems they face most.
