Özet: In this study; we analyzed how concept cartoons affect 5th grade students' attitudes towards geometry lesson. The model of the research, one of the experimental research methods, was used in randomized paired control-group pretest-posttest. The experimental study was carried out with 24 fifth grade students studying at Aşağı Göndelen Secondary School in Ereğli district of Konya province. An Attitude Scale towards Geometry was used in the study. The attitude scale was applied to both groups as a pre-test. After the concept cartoon supported geometry education was given to the experimental group, geometry education with traditional methods was given the control group, and the attitude scale was applied as a post-test. In the analysis of the data, independent samples t-test, Wilcoxon Signed Rank test and Mann-Whitney U-test were used. As a result of the experimental research, it is observed that there is no significant difference in the attitudes towards geometry of the control group, who received geometry education with traditional learning methods, according to the pre-test-post-test results, while a positive change is observed in the attitudes towards geometry of the experimental group, who were taught geometry with concept cartoons.
