Özet: The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between emotional intelligence, science process skills and science academic achievement of 8th students. The study is designed as a correlational study in the survey model. The sample of the study consisted of 317 8th grade students at secondary school including 158 females and 159 males who were selected according to cluster sampling method at a secondary school that selected according to convenience method in a city center in south of Turkey. As a data collection tool; "Bar-On Emotional Intelligent Scale", "Science Process Skill Test" and “the year-end report card grade of the science lesson" were used. The obtained data were firstly analyzed using descriptive statistics such as mean, standard deviation and percent. Then, Pearson correlation analysis was used to determine whether there was a relationship between variables. At the end of the study, results revealed that students’ emotional intelligent and sub-dimensions levels are high, basic proses skills are upper-intermediate, integrated proses skills are low and total scientific process skills are intermediate, science course academic achievement levels are upper-intermediate. Moreover, the results revealed that there is a statistically significant relationship between emotional intelligence and scientific process skills, also between emotional intelligence and science achievement.
