Özet: This study aims to determine teachers' opinions on implementation of developed GEMS activities about “Force and Friction” for 7th grades. This study is a phenomenology study because it aims to determine the opinions of science teachers about the GEMS activities based on their experiences. This study was carried out with 6 (4 females, 2 males) science teachers working in 2 different secondary schools in a city center. The data of the study were collected through semi-structured interviews after teachers were informed about the approach and allowed to examine the activities. The obtained data were analyzed using the content analysis method. Teachers stated that the GEMS approach could be applied in science classes because it is effective to increase students’ attitude and their problem-solving skills, permanent learning, providing learning with fun, learning by doing and living. Also, they stated that it would take time due to the sections of performing, analyzing and discussing activities while doing activities for the concepts of mathematics and science. As a result, it is suggested that teachers and researchers should include this approach in their lessons and studies, since the studies in the relevant literature are predominantly present with pre-school students and it is seen that, in this study, there is a feasible approach that will contribute to the learning outcomes of secondary school students.
