Özet: The mind-body distinction, their nature and their interrelationships constitute one of the most fundamental problem areas of philosophy. One of the thinkers who contributed to the mind-body problem in modern philosophy of mind is Donald Davidson. Davidson's idea that distinguishes mental states or beings from physical states or beings not ontologically but conceptually, is called anomalous monism. According to this idea, while the mental is physically inseparable from the physical, this area differs from the physical space with the absence of convenience covering the mental space. There is a weak supervenience relationship between these two areas, not causal dependence. Aiming to avoid reductionism by establishing a loyalty relationship, Davidson aimed to open a space of freedom for mental beings and situations.
