Özet: This article was performed within the framework of the Survey on Artvin Province and its Districts on behalf of Van Yuzuncu Yil University and with the permissions of Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Turkish Republic and the financial support of the Turkish Historical Society by the team headed by me. The mentioned immovable cultural assets, some of which were determined for the first time; totally 16, mainly in Artvin Central District, consist of structures such as monasteries, churches, chapels, castles, mosques and bridges in Hopa, Kemalpaşa, Borçka, Murgul and Yusufeli districts in the period from the Middle Ages to the end of the Ottoman period. Our investigations, which have been carried on in the region since 1997, show that, in a small geography, there is a potential for a wealth of immovable cultural assets that can be considered rich. That’s, since the Middle Ages, it verifies that rural architectural tradition has developed in accordance with its current topography.
