Özet: This study includes examining recreation and related notions, dimensions of recreation and relation of relevant disciplines with recreation, by assessing the approach on the recreation phenomenon of academicians who have studies related to recreation in Turkey. For data collection semi-structured interview technique was used in qualitative research methods. The purpose of study is to emerge some problematic issues which needed to be tested, by pointing out the conflict between academicians and the data obtained from academicians could be used in future researches. The results reveal that there are some significant differences related to recreation phenomenon between academicians who were interviewed, and indicated that the academicians have not enough knowledge about some issues concerning recreation.
