Özet: Privacy, freedom and democracy concepts are intertwined and they are both intrinsic, instrumental; individual and social “goods” and should be protected. Privacy is an essential right for the practice of democracy. On the other hand, freedom is one of the the intrinsic values which defines the democracy. In this respect, freedom of communication is one of the important indication that makes democracy possible. It is observed that privacy, freedom and democracy are under threat in the information and communication society which we live where mass media also use technology intensely.
