Özet: This research aimed to determine the caring burden of families who benefit from home care services in Amasya. The Survey of Caregiver Burden was used in the study with a questionnaire containing socio-demographic information. Questionnaires were completed with 163 families receiving home care services according to January 2015 data. Analyses of the data obtained in the SPSS 21 program were made. Given the age of caregivers, it is observed that 41-55% of the 44.2% and 30.1% of the individuals are over 56 years old. 61.3% of the handicapped individuals were female, 38.7% were males, 84% were female and 16% were male. While 28.8% of the disabled people in the survey were married, 29.4% never married. When the marital status of caretakers is examined, 90.2% of the caretakers are married. 68.7% of disabled people who use care services are not literate. It is seen that 81.6% of the carers who provide care services are housewives. As a result of the research, the care capacities of the families providing care services decreased by 27 points in the arithmetic average.
