Özet: Human nature is born, grows and dies. In the past and today, many children can be left without a mother, father and both mother and father. Healthy shelter and other needs of these children must be met. children Ottoman Empire and Turkey has an important place in the family structure. In this very situation, important duties fall on the family, society and the state. Orphans and children in need of protection are taken into institutional care, delivered to the appropriate foster family or given up for adoption. Adoption is the placement of a child with an adult or individuals who assume all parental responsibilities. This study has been handled in a way that reveals the transformation of the adoption system from the Ottoman era to the present and its current state. The aim of this study was to investigate the changes in the history of Turkey in family structure adopted system, examine the properties of adoptive families nowadays, institutional care and expose children to realize within a host family, to examine the relationship between adoptive institutions and foster care system.
