Özet: Divorce is an important process facing many families today. Studies show that this process affects not only adults who are parties to divorce, but also children who are part of the family. Accordingly, the effects on children also show themselves in the later years of the individual. In the literature, the effects on the subject mostly reflected in childhood and adolescence have been examined, and there has not been sufficient study on the young adulthood of these people. In this study, in order to contribute to the literature, a qualitative interview was conducted with 28 students whose parents were found to be divorced among the students who continue their education in Istanbul Aydin University Faculty of Health Sciences. According to the data obtained, the adaptation of university students with divorced parents to this new family structure also varies individually depending on factors such as the reason for divorce, the remarriage of the parent, or the meeting with the absent parent. At the same time, the advice students give to people who have gone through similar processes also mirror their own backgrounds.
