Özet: Both the use of institutional care services and adaptation to a new life after leaving institutional care services bring various difficulties. Within this framework, various psychosocial interventions are carried out for children who benefit from institutional care services and individuals who used to benefit from institutional care services. Although there are many psychosocial interventions for individuals who have benefited from institutional care services, they may face several psychosocial problems and may have difficulties in adapting to social life. Therefore, there is a need to reveal the experiences of individuals who have benefited from institutional care services after institutional care. This study is a qualitative research conducted to explore the experiences of individuals who have benefited from institutional care services after institutional care. Within the scope of the study conducted according to the case study design, in-depth interviews were conducted with 14 individuals determined according to the maximum variation sample living in Burdur within the framework of a semi-structured interview form. As a result of the analysis, the categories of living in the institution, adaptation to a new life after leaving the institution, and work and social life after leaving the institution found.
