Özet: Spirituality is the divine essence that exists in the essence of each individual, gives him strength and is the greatest support in the process of understanding and coping with life events. People can have experiences that leave deep traces in their lives, and they can take power from spirituality to make sense and deal with them. The aim of this study; to determine what kind of spiritual care needs of veterans and their relatives to become veterans and to continue their lives. Phenomenological design was used in the study which has a qualitative nature. The study group consists of 19 veterans and 12 veterans who have received outpatient or inpatient treatment at the Veterans Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Center in Ankara. The data were analyzed with descriptive content analysis technique. According to the findings; There are 8 themes for the spiritual care needs of veterans and 5 themes for the spiritual care needs of veterans wifes. Body perception and disability, not feeling pain and making sense of being a veteran, a sense of purgatory, family problems, alcohol and cigarette addiction, god perception and spirituality, help factors in coping, expectations and messages are the themes that emerged about veterans. The themes reached in the wifes of veterans are as follows: Responsibility arising from friendship, the feelings of their husbands in the purgatory, adaptation skills to life their husbands, problems caused by lack of self-confidence of their husbands, repressive attitude from husbands and social pressure. As a result of this research, some suggestions are given that the spiritual care needs of veterans and their wifes and their expectations from the state, society and other veterans.
