Özet: In parallel with increasing number of terror attacks, protection of critical infrastructures claims more and more space in security agendas of countries of the world. As they are part of the transportation infrastructure with critical importance, main discussion of this study is the role of architectural passive safety arrangements against a possible physical attack on the landports of entry. This paper begins with creating a perspective on definition, scope and purpose of architectural passive safety arrangements, and then it continues with the information on the critical infrastructures, importance of their protection, and a general picture of the operational principals and physical order of landports of entry. Finally it is discussed how the architectural passive safety arrangements can be applied to landports of entry. In conclusion, this study aims to provide a general framework on how to implement principles of architectural passive safety arrangements to landports of entry, which is a critical infrastructure.
