Özet: There is no research exist in the literature on the evacuation analysis of courthouse buildings. In this article, the new Hınıs Courthouse building in Erzurum/Turkey was tested with an academically valid simulation program and the evacuation period was examined. The purpose of this paper is to evaluate the courthouse building in terms of evacuation efficiency and compare it with similar buildings. The building examined is a sprinkler integrated building designed according to the 2015 new fire regulation of Turkey. The evacuation safety profile of the building related to the evaluation was examined and a reference was made to provide a safer design for the future buildings. In this study, the data obtained from NFPA 101, IBC and NYC Building Code documents, which are used in our country for fire regulation as a reference, were evaluated via the Pathfinder simulation program through a sample building. As a result of the study, it was seen that the full evacuation from the related building was provided within four minutes and thirty-eight seconds. It is seen that evacuation of a 5 storey building under 15 minutes is enough and it was discussed that the number occupant load used in the simulation can be updated for Turkey.
