Özet: To day, doctoral education is defined as a process that provides important contributions to the professional and individual development of people in the training of qualified manpower. The aim of doctoral education in nursing is to prepare individuals for professionalism in subjects such as education, research, practice and health care. Although doctoral programs in our country have similarities in terms of structure and content, it is seen that they have different expectations from different applications and students. The aim of ORPHEUS Organisation of PhD Education in Biomedicine and Health Sciences in The Europian System , a union of European biomedical and health sciences faculties and institutions, is to ensure the quality assurance of doctoral research and education in general and to improve the accreditation process of doctoral programs in biomedical and health sciences. In this review; it is aimed to compare quality standards of nursing doctorate education expectations of Higher Education Council and universities and ORPHEUS quality indicators in our country.
