Özet: Maternal and child health indicators are very susceptible to socioeconomic variations and health care interventions of countries. Based on this, the aim of the study was to determine the economic and fertility indicators that could be related to infant, child and maternal mortality rates in the Turkish Republics with social, cultural and economic cooperation among them. This study is an ecologic research which deals the evaluation of economic indicators (gross domestic product (GDP) per capita, health expenditure per capita, unemployment percentage of total labor force) and fertility indicators (crude birth rate, total fertility rate) which affect health indicators related to mother and child health (infant mortality rate, neonatal mortality rate, under 5 mortality rate and maternal mortality rate) in Turkish Republics. The obtained data were evaluated via computarized IBM SPSS (version 20.0) statistical package program. In this study, the relationship between economic and fertility indicators which effect infant mortality rate, neonatal mortality rate, under 5 years mortality rate and maternal mortality rate was calculated by using the Spearman correlation coefficient following the expansion of the data according to the population.
