Özet: Changing dietary habits of university students in associated with many health problems that will be occur further. The aim of this study was to determinate dietary habits among 2nd class students of a university’s health related faculties, and to evaluate the relations between dietary habits and obesity, physical activity and quality of life. This crosssectional research was conducted between 01 January to 30 June 2015, and among total 307 students studying in health related faculties in a University located in West Turkey. A questionnaire including questions related to sociodemographic characteristics and dietary habits was applied. Physical activity was determinate by International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ) Short Form. World Health Organization Quality of Life BREF (WHOQOL-BREF) Tukey - Short Form was applied for the assessment of quality of life. The study group consisted of 105 (34.2%) boys and the average age was 20.2 ± 1.6 (min: 18, max: 37). Physical activity level was higher in boys than girls (p<0.05). Overweight/obese frequency was higher in boys (28.6%) than girls (5.4%), (p<0.001). WHOQOL-BREF physical domain average score was 60.4 ± 9.17 for boys, and 61.6 ± 9.72 for girls (p>0.05). The numbers of students who had proper dietary habits was 75 (24.4%). Among students who had not proper dietary habits. Overweight/obese frequency was higher (p<0.05). There was a poor and positive correlation between the proper dietary habits scores and WHOQOL – BREF physical domain score (p: 0.026). Only one in four students had proper dietary habits. There was a negative relation between proper dietary habits with overweight/obesity, and a positive relation between the proper dietary habits with physical activity and quality of life
