Özet: The aim of the study; investigate the publication rate of Public Health specialty theses in national and international journals. National Thesis Center database for Public Health Specialist theses between 2000-2018 was researched. Author and consultant name of theses was searched in Google Scholar, Pubmed, Dergipark Academic databases, by comparing the content of the article and the thesis, the status of the article's production from the thesis was determined by the researchers. All 565 theses from 2000 to 2018 have been evaluated in our research. 243 of the theses (43.0%) are between 2016-2018 and 250 of the specialist physicians (44.2%) were male. Cross-sectional/descriptive research type was used in 83% of theses and a questionnaire was applied in 509 (90.1%) of the theses. The most common areas were found to be occupational health (20.5%) and reproductive health (12.7%). It was found that theses were published as articles in an average of 3.17±2.60 years, the resident was the first author in 83.6% of the articles and 171 of theses (30.3%) have been turned into articles. 10.4% theses were published in Sciences Citation Index and Science Citation Index-Expanded, 12.9% were published in international, and 7% in national indexed journals. It was found that when the theses were categorized and analyzed according to years, it was mostly in between 2000-2005 (47.7%), when evaluated according to research types, it was mostly in cohort studies (47.1%) and when evaluated according to subjects, it was mostly in reproductive health (37.7%) turned into scientific articles. As a result of publication rates of Public Health specialty theses are low.
