Özet: The most important material cultural remains of pre-literary communities are the pottery they used. They provide us with information in many areas ranging from their life styles to belief systems. In addition, the decoration applications made with techniques such as relief, incised and painting on ceramic surface can reflect many details from the development level of the relevant society to the fashion of the period. This was also the case for the Iron Ages, when written traditions began to reappear after a great interruption (the process following the collapse of the Hittite). The ceramic group which is subject to this study is also the material of this process. In this study, the painted ceramics of Iron Age coming from Suluca Karahöyük which is located within the borders of Nevşehir province, where excavations were carried out between 1967-1974 and 1977, are discussed. A total of 69 ceramic artifacts in whole and in fragmentary. which are preserved in the Hacıbektaş Museum were evaluated. These ceramics, which have an important place in the understanding of the Iron Age of Central Anatolia, have been compared with the ceramics found in key settlements which have been excavated in the region previously.
