Özet: Institutions like archives act as evidence in court and provide light on a case by recording and defending a state's and its residents' legal rights. Legal, military, economic, scientific, social, artistic, historical, and cultural heritage are just a few of the fields in which archives are a valuable source of information. The most significant quality of archives is that they serve as the first trustworthy source of reference in the research and development activities of scientists from diverse fields, bringing the knowledge acquired in the past and present to the future. Over time and as a result of organized efforts, archiving has developed into a field of science. A further focus of archive science is the preservation of archival records and the most accurate transmission of cultural legacy to coming generations. The purpose of this study is to examine the methods employed during the steps to be taken in accordance with current conditions and to identify the destruction factors that threaten the preservation of archival material and material that will become archival in the future. One of the goals of the study is to help develop a thorough and sustainable national conservation guide that will be published. In this study, the threats to the preservation of archive material are analyzed, along with the precautions that should be taken and the approaches that might be applied. The study did not contain the protection strategies indicated in some earlier publications since they were no longer viable. Instead, special focus was made to helping the research address current issues.
