Özet: Long term changes such as ground movements, formation of mountains, volcanic activities, glacier movements, water movements and cycling, which are defined as geological events, have contributed to the formation of soil. Events with soil formation have not come to an end. As geological events continue, soils are not stable. Factors such as the results of physical and chemical events in soil, climate effects, human effects, natural and accelerated soil losses, efforts to renew the soil itself make soil classification studies difficult and important. Eastern Anatolia is the highest, largest, most defective in terms of geology and most dynamic region of Turkey. As a result of these features, earth shapes and soil types are quite rich. Soil loss, shallowness, infertility, slope, salinity, mismanagement are major problems of region.
