Özet: Dârülmûsikî-i Osmanî Cemiyeti (The Ottoman Music Association), which went intoaction after the proclamation of the Second Constitution under the auspices of PrinceZiyaeddin Efendi at the mansion across the Istanbul second district town hall in Koska, is thefirst music association in Turkish history of music. When considered from this point of view,The Ottoman Music Association was the venue where the prominent figures of Turkish Musicwere gathered and performed under the same roof for the first time. This study aims to explorethe phases through which the The Ottoman Music Association/School went between 19081914, how it was run and in terms of the activities realised by this society, its contributions toTurkish music and the position of Turkish music at the time
