Özet: The aim of this research is to investigate the effect of using digital stories on students in science teaching according to various variables. When the studies are examined, it is seen that digital stories are mostly used in the fields of teaching values in Social Studies course, literacy teaching in Turkish course, history and language teaching. For this reason, it was aimed to investigate the effects of using digital stories in science teaching on attitudes towards science courses, digital literacy and critical thinking skills. In this study, the quantitative research method was used to examine the effect of the determined variables on the third grade elementary school students of digital stories. In the quantitative research method, a pre-test-post-test paired control group design, which is one of the semi-experimental designs, was used (Gündüz 2019). The working group of the research is composed of primary school third grade students affiliated to the Ministry of National Education in the fall semester of the 2021/2022 academic year. It consists of 35 elementary school third grade students, one of which is the experimental group (n = 19) and the other is the control group (n = 16). The “Science Attitude Scale” developed by Tosun and Genç (2015), the “Digital Literacy Scale for Students Aged 10-12” developed by Pala and Ba Decibüyük (2020), and the “Elementary School Students” developed by Akar and Uluçınar (2020) were used to collect data. The ”Critical Thinking Tendency Scale" was used for this study. According to the results obtained from the research, it was concluded that the use of digital stories in science lesson positively affects attitude towards science lesson, digital literacy and critical thinking tendency. According to these results, the use of digital stories in science and other courses can be increased.
