Özet: While the tradition of Western metaphysics has continued its influence until today, the practices of "other", "otherness" and "otherization” increased after the Enlightenment movement. Everything, except the Western subject that places itself in the center by taking rationality center of life, is objectified and otherized. The purpose of this study is to evaluate Yılmaz Güney's Road Film in the context of German Orientalism. Within this context, while what had been marginalized in the movie The Road was criticized, German orientalism were traced back, too.
