Özet: Freedom of press and freedom of journalist are notions different from each other. However, generally, freedom of press is perceived as also the freedom of journalist. It is supposed that freedoms given, or should be given to media as the institution and practices and discussions regarding the previligies also include the "workers" who produce the themes that sustained the actual strength to the institution. However, even when the position of the journalist is examined only as "worker" against his employer, it clearly becomes evident that freedom of press is not the freedom of the journalist. This study examines whether the journalist is actually free within the scope of legal arragements related to job security of the journalist in Turkey or limits of his freedom.
