Özet: The concept of professional confidentiality which is basis of the sense of privacy is examined in three topics in this study. Spatial privacy, individual privacy and information privacy are academically disciplinary approaches to the concept of privacy. The study, which focuses on the concept of professional privacy in the framework of these approaches, conveys the concept to the public sphere whic seems to be an individual matter. The ethical emphasis on professional ethics in the context of professional literacy is preliminary. However, when considered in the context of social media, professional confidentiality is moving beyond traditional approaches. The problem of this study is also related to the social media. Publications on professional performance through YouTube channels are discussed in the context of observation, demonstration society and the collapse of professionalism. In this study, six (6) advertising YouTube channels that produce content directly or indirectly for professional groups are discussed in Turkey. Descriptive analysis is applied to selected videos as sampling units. In this study that descriptive analysis was used, the meanings coded at the end of the visual analyzes were categorized into a coherent partnership within themselves. These categories were understood on the basis of the theoretical infrastructure elements in the study, professional ethics, privacy and YouTube culture. Each coded content structure was evaluated within the theoretical boundaries of the category to which it relates. All of the codes overlapped with the theoretical base in the categories, and interpretations were made through the categories. The fact that the codes collected from different sample units had the ability to establish a similar category identified the validity level of the categorical explanations within the scope of the study.
