Özet: The aim of this research is to examine the visual perceptions of gifted and talented primary school students studying at the Science and Art Center (BILSEM) through the pictures they draw. Research group of the 2018-2019 academic year spring semester studying in Science and Art Center is located in southwest Turkey, Class 2 and 3 from a total of 50 forms gifted and talented students. In this research using descriptive survey model, data were collected by using form prepared according to draw-explain technique. In order to examine the perceptions of the students participating in the study, they were asked to draw a picture and explain this picture briefly by specifying gender and grade level. The data obtained from the research were analyzed by content analysis method and a total of 28 codes were obtained. As a result of the research findings, themes were examined in 3 different categories as perception of clean environment, perception of dirty environment and picnic perception. Tree ”and“ human ”were the most frequently drawn elements of gifted and talented students participating in the research. “flower” and “sun” have been the most commonly depicted elements. It can be said that gifted and talented students at the 2nd and 3rd grade levels have mostly a perception of clean environment. This perception did not show a significant difference according to gender. According to the findings of the study, the perception of dirty environment is mostly seen in the drawings of third grade students. The findings of the research show that the students who participated in the study perceived the environment as green spaces.
