Özet: Phosphine applied at 200 ppm for 2-36 h at 15, 20, 25 oC was evaluated as a toxicant against 0-24 and 24-48 h old eggs, 12 day old larvae and 7-8 day old adults of Carpophilus hemipterus (L.) (Coleoptera: Nitidulidae), an important dried fig pest. The mortality rates from different exposure periods were subjected to probit analysis and lethal dose ratios were calculated to compare differences in LT values between different temperatures and between different ages. The LT95 values for 0-24 and 24-48 h old eggs were found to be 29.902 and 14.624 h (15 oC), 24.532 and 11.645 h (20 oC), 12.331 and 8.474 h (25 oC), respectively. The LT95 values of larvae at 15, 20 and 25 oC are 7.671, 7.833 and 6.627 h, respectively. It was shown that LT95 value of adult stage was found to be 9.142 h (15 oC),4.709 h (20 oC), and 3.375 h (25 oC). In this research eggs were more tolerant than larvae and adults at all temperatures. This study revealed the phosphine even applied at low dosage of 200 ppm was still effective against C. hemipterus
