Özet: It is important to estimate the export potential of countries in order to identify new export markets and increase the share of existing export markets. The study aims to estimate the potential that Turkey's exports to D-8 countries. In this context, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Egypt, Nigeria and Indonesia were included in the analysis within the scope of the study. Turkey's exports to D-8 countries, Turkey's and D-8 countries' GDP, distance between D-8 countries and Turkey, D-8 countries' custom tariffs, Turkey's and D-8 countries' exchance rates, historical relationship and 2008 Global Crisis were included as variables in order to reveal the Turkey's potantial export to D-8 countries. The frequency of the variables is annual and belongs to the period 1996-2016. The study shows that there is unexploited export potential from Turkey to Nigeria and Indonesia. In addition to this, it is determined that there is export volume above export potential from Turkey to Pakistan, Bangladesh, Malaysia and Egypt.
