Özet: Son zamanlarda gelişmiş ülkelerdeki eğitim sistemi incelendiğinde oyun kavramının önemli bir yere sahip olduğu görülmektedir. Bilim adamlarının birçoğuna göre çocuğu tanımak ve gözlemlemenin en iyi yolu oyundur. Çocuklar oyun oynadığı esnada birçok beceri kazanırlar. Çocuk oyun vasıtasıyla yetişkinliğe geçiş dönemindeki becerilerini izleyerek pratik hale getirir ve mükemmelleştirir. Bu çalışmanın amacı sınıf öğretmenlerine göre oyunların çocukların gelişimi açısından etkilerinin incelenmesidir. Araştırma grubu incelendiğinde gönüllülük esasına dayalı olarak Gaziantep İl Milli Eğitim Müdürlüğünde görev yapan 10 sınıf öğretmeni ile yüz yüze görüşme tekniği kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden olan mülakat yöntemi kullanılarak, elde edilen veriler, içerik analizi yöntemi ile çözümlenmiştir. Araştırmada sonuç olarak, sınıf öğretmenleri çocukların kendilerini tanıması, öğrenmenin ilk evresi ve birçok açıdan gelişimlerine katkı sağladığı için oyun kavramının önemli olduğunu vurgulamışlardır. Özellikle çocukların gelişim açısından oyunun gerçek dünyası ve mutlulukları olduğu görülürken, eğlence ve motivasyon kaynakları olduğu ön plana çıkmıştır. Ayrıca katılımcıların genel anlamda oyunla öğretim yöntemini kullandıkları ve oyunun öğrenme süreci üzerinde büyük oranda etkisinin olduğu ifade edilmiştir. Bunun yanında sınıf öğretmenleri oyunla öğretim yöntemi ile birlikte; öğrenmenin daha kolay ve çabuk olduğunu, öğrenmenin eğlenceli ve zevkli gerçekleştiğini, çocuğun gelişimi açısından faydalı olduğunu belirtmişlerdir. Aynı zamanda oyunla öğretim yönteminin; derse olan ilgiyi arttırdığı, çocuğun okulu ve arkadaşlarını sevmesine imkân sağladığı, çocuğun dil gelişimi ve konuşma becerisini geliştirdiği tespit edilirken, çocuklarda; dikkat becerisini arttırdığı, algılama becerisi kazandırdığı, hayal gücünü geliştirdiği ve kuralları öğrenmesine katkı sağladığı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. When the education system in developed countries is examined recently, it is seen that the concept of game has an important place. According to many scientists, the best way to get to know and observe the child is through play. Children gain many skills while playing. Through play, the child monitors and perfects his/her skills in transition to adulthood. The aim of this study is to examine the effects of games on the development of children according to classroom teachers. When the research group was examined, face-to-face interview technique was used with 10 classroom teachers working in Gaziantep Provincial Directorate of National Education on a voluntary basis. In the research, using the interview method, which is one of the qualitative research methods, the data obtained were analyzed by the content analysis method. As a result of the research, classroom teachers emphasized that the concept of play is important because it contributes to children's self-knowledge, the first stage of learning and their development in many ways. While it is seen that the game is the real world and happiness of children especially in terms of development, it has come to the fore as a source of entertainment and motivation. In addition, it was stated that the participants generally used the method of teaching with games and that the game had a great effect on the learning process. In addition, classroom teachers, together with the game teaching method; They stated that learning is easier and faster, learning is fun and enjoyable, and it is beneficial for the development of the child. At the same time, the method of teaching with games; It has been determined that it increases the interest in the lesson, allows the child to love the school and his friends, and improves the language development and speaking skills of the child. It has been concluded that it increases attention skills, gains perception skills, develops imagination and contributes to learning the rules.
