Özet: Dietary supplement is defined as “a product that is used by human to supplement the diet and contains dietary ingredients such as vitamins, minerals, amino acids, herbs or other botanical dietary substances”. Consumption of food supplements is increased in recent years due to successful marketing strategies, advertising and internet information sources. On the other hand, depending on the side effects of the products that do not meet the standards, intoxications and even deathcases occur recently in the world and in Turkey.For these reasons, inspection of dietary supplement has become increasingly more important. The inspection duty and authority of these products are given to the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry in accordance with the relevant legislation. However, at the point of inspection, there are conflicts with the Ministry of Health and Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, arising from the duplications in the legislation. In this paper, regulations for the inspection of dietary supplement were examined in the light of the jurisprudences of courts.
