Özet: One of the negative effects of Covid-19 pandemic in the world is the unfair price increases at some goods and services. To struggle with unfair price increases along with other negative effects of the pandemic has become a significant agenda for political authorities. For this purpose, several governments have taken measures in order to prevent unfair price increases and initiated administrative investigations against these infringements. One of the measures taken is to put into effect new legislation to struggle with price gouging. New legislation have been put into effect with this aim and price gouging has been introduced in our legal system as an administrative offence in our country, too. In this article, it is aimed to identify the type of this administrative offence that has just entered our legal system and to determine the implementation field of administrative sanctions which has been envisaged to this action. In this context, we try to crystallize the legal framework of the norm that envisaged price gouging as a administrative offence.
